About Me
Though I've been making art since I was a small child, I didn't start selling anything until 2005. That was when I took an ornament I'd made in 2004 to give as gifts, and decided to create a new design for sale. This has grown into an (almost) yearly design of intricate, limited-edition, diorama ornaments that are collector's items.
Shortly after those initial ornament sales, I opened my Etsy shop in 2006. I was struggling with work/life balance and needed something in my life that was for me. It started with jewelry, and as I learned more about the craft, I improved my techniques and materials. Now I make a range of items using glass and vintage acrylic/, semi-precious stones, and resin.
It took some time, but I eventually found my way back to painting. It was something I enjoyed all through my childhood and teen years, but stopped doing once I got to college. It's now the thing I focus on, though I still enjoy making jewelry and ornaments.
Custom commissions continue to be some of my favorite things to do. Working with someone to create something that doesn't exist in the world and seeing their joy once they have it... priceless.
